Yesterday is history, that is how the popular maxim goes. Its conclusion is the epic one liner that says,”tomorrow’s a mystery”. Well that’s for the individuals who don’t have a clear image of what the future holds for them. This is for those whose dreams don’t scare them well enough to rise above the threshold set by the world and challenge the status quo.

Last night, history was made as we had an online class in which we were taught the ‘ art of psychology, a tool for effective sales online’. This class was moderated by our very own captain, Jethro Theo Paul. To be honest, that class was my best online class so far. Every squad member contributed to the class. It was interactive and educating. Simply put, it was LIT!

The psychology of Buying,simply put, is that which enables a marketer reach into the feelings and logic of the buyer and use these to drive a sale. This makes the marketer to be at the top of his/her game all the time and so much more.

This art is divided into 2 parts;

  • Pillars of purchase
  • Principles of influence

This basically involves manipulating the emotions of the buyer to see reasons to purchase your product. This comes is before that contemplation they have whether they should patronize you or not.

The 4 emotions are;

  • Pride
  • Greed
  • Comfort and
  • Logic

Emotion

This is the feeling one gets at the sighting of an item he/she loves.

Pride is another determinant in the procurement of your product by your customers. The feeling a customer gets when he visits a high end restaurant is not going to be compared when he visits a local eatery. So, aim to offer class and posh all wrapped neatly in a bow.

Other methods are to engage in Luxury up and the use of membership and exclusivity.

Information Marketing

This may be defined as the use of various types of information to market certain brands and product. It may entail the use of e-books, audio,video or courses( this is a combination of the three above).

This is the easiest area to branch into as a budding marketer but one has to be niche specific to excel and earn the trust of the prospects. The bottom line is to focus on areas that one can solve the most problems of the users and you become a trusted voice in the field.

The 3 niches to focus on are;

  • Relationship
  • Health
  • Money

Relationship

Every human being is or wants or hopes to be in a relationship. Hence, the problems humans face on a daily regarding this issue is enormous. The various sub-niches are;

  • Dating
  • Marriage
  • Family matters
  • Parenting

Health

Everyone has health issues or hopes to avoid one medical condition or the other. This field requires you to be very certified in this field and to be an expert too. If you lack any certification or you are not an expert, do not venture into this niche. The sub-niches are;

  • Fitness
  • Nutrition
  • Diabetes and so many more

Money

This is the heartbeat of the society that in the world. No society can ever function without any form of currency. The issues that arise under this niche are;

  • Crpytocurrency
  • Betting
  • Real estate
  • Stocks

To be able to survive among the various people who exist on the digital space always ensure that you carry out an adequate research on any topic you wish to carry out an info-graphic on. Also, you can visit social media platforms to be aware of the problems they may be encountering or have encountered and try to proffer solutions for these problems. At a price of course!

Let’s talk about today. I did tell you about the drill that was carried out yesterday. Apparently, I was among the soldiers who were found to be chicken-hearted. Well, what can i say. Some days are like that. we do have a chance to redeem ourselves today at 10pm WAT. So, say a prayer for me o! I’m so going to do my best to cross this hurdle in front of me.
